Barry Wilson
Barry Wilson is a composer, songwriter & drummer from Ireland.
He released his debut album, Portrait, on September 20th, 2019, after spending 3 years in various studios (beginning in Portugal & ending in Ireland) collaborating with over 40 musicians creating, writing and arranging music; as well as contributing to his pieces drums, percussion, keys, vocals and lyrics.
He is a live and in-studio session drummer, playing in the pit for theatre productions in venues such as The Everyman, Opera House and Siamse Tire in Ireland and live, sold-out shows with The 2 Johnnies which included the 3Arena and Live at the Marquee. Studio work includes a recent collaboration on a piece called ‘Break the Stars’, written by Michael Baugh, featuring world-renowned musicians such as Tina Guo, Rusanda Panfili and Anna Sentini.
He graduated from Cork School of Music in 2015 with a 1st Class Honours Bachelors Degree and received his Masters in Professional Media from Thinkspace Education in 2022.
